Costa Dorada - Spain

It has more than 90kms of beaches spread over an impressive 200km of coastline making it known as the ‘Golden Coast' all the way from Cunit in the north down to Cases d'Alcanar in the south. The 34 golden sandy beaches hold the coveted EU blue flag award.Traveling here couldn't be easier as many airlines from the UK fly to Barcelona. The airport is conveniently situated south of the city within easy access to the motorway network taking you directly to Miami Playa and L'Ametlla de Mar within about an hour. Even nearer is Reus Airport. Although flights from the UK are fewer, you can cut your traveling time by half.

Miami Playa - Golden Sands

Miami Playa lies on an impressive sandy coastline which includes eight small sand and shingle coves interspersed by cliffs and rocky outcrops. In certain areas are wide pine woods that reach down to the coast, offering relaxing walks and popular areas to cycle.

Miami playa beach
Miami Playa combines the traditional feel of a Spanish Town with a bustling commercial centre, offering a wide choice of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants and is conveniently situated between the beech and the residential areas. Most of the villas in the resort are about 3kms from the beach. Keen and casual golfers alike will be attracted by the prestigious Bonmont course. The only course in Catalonia designed by the famous Robert Trent Jones. It has twice hosted the PGA Catalan Open. As well as offering the usual 18 holes and practice course, the Bonmont also offers tennis courts and a swimming pool

The town L'AMETLLA DE MAR

The historic 18th Century town of L'AMETLLA DE MAR is just 20km south of Miami Playa easily accessed from its own motorway exit. After years of attacks from Berber pirates, which even the Catalan military couldn't always repell, despite building a castle close to sea, the settlement gradually flourished as local families took full advantage of the abundant fish around these shores. Fishing continues to play a very import part in the life of the town and not surprisingly there are many restaurants specialising in fish and seafood.

If you are looking for a relaxing quiet getaway then L'ametlla De Mar is the place for you, as todays visitors to the resort tend to be those who have spent the day on the beach or perhaps exploring the area. Your evenings can be spent taking in a relaxing walk then onto a romantic meal in one the many restaurants or perhaps taking it easy at your Villa with a barbecue and a traditional glass of Sangria .

There are some small shops, restaurants and cafes to be found around the town but most tend to be situated in the town square, overlooking the picturesque harbour.

Tres Calas

is where the majority of our L'Ametlla villas are situated. Its a residential area of privately owned villas of which about 60% are Spanish owned and occupied. No high rise developments on Tres Calas ! The town itself is about 3.5km from our villas but there is also a small commercial centre within about 1500m with small supermarket, bar, restaurant and several other small shops.
